Day 1 & 2 – Airport / Colombo
It will be easy to spot your driver—look for the person holding a nameboard with your names at the airport arrival section. He will assist you with your luggage and escort you to your first stop, Colombo. This vibrant city by the Indian Ocean offers a perfect mix of relaxation and exploration to start your honeymoon on a romantic note.
Your stay in Colombo is unscheduled to let you unwind and settle in, but if you’re eager to explore, we can arrange a private city tour just for the two of you. Stroll hand-in-hand along the scenic Galle Face Green at sunset, discover the tranquil beauty of the historic Gangaramaya Temple, or browse through local crafts and treasures at the bustling Pettah Market. For a romantic escape into nature, we can also organize an intimate boat safari in the peaceful Muthurajawela Wetlands.
Travel time from airport to Colombo – about 1 hour

Once you are ready, your driver will take you to your next destination Sigiriya. If you would like to witness some of our Sri Lankan heritage, visit the Dambulla Cave temple on the way to Sigirya. The beautifully preserved cave temple is an ancient art gallery that displays the teachings of Buddhism.
Your accommodation in Sigiriya is far more exciting than a traditional hotel. It is a treehouse in the middle of the jungle. You will be able to enjoy nature in the comfort of your home away from home.
Travel time from Negombo to Sigiriya – about 4 hours
Day 3 – Negombo / Sigiriya
Once you are ready, your driver will take you to your next destination Sigiriya. If you would like to witness some of our Sri Lankan heritage, visit the Dambulla Cave temple on the way to Sigirya. The beautifully preserved cave temple is an ancient art gallery that displays the teachings of Buddhism.

You may either help your hosts with the cooking or enjoy a catamaran ride in their nearby lake while the food is being prepared.
In the evening, your driver will take you to Minneriya national park to show you some of the wildlife in Sri Lanka. During your jeep safari you might see some toque macaques, sambar deer, buffalos and crocodiles, but the real highlight of the tour would be its giant elephants.
Travel time from Sigiriya to Minneriya – about 45 minutes
Day 4 – Sigiriya / Minneriya / Sigiriya

After visiting Pidurangala, your driver will take you to your next destination: Kandy. Hit the streets for some shopping. Treat yourself to a silk saree, a batik sarong, or jewelry with Sri Lankan blue sapphires. The evening remains unscheduled allowing you to rest at your cozy hotel with your partner.

After this wonderful spiritual experience, the tour continues to the hill country. You may stop by the picturesque Ramboda waterfall to take in its beauty and have a hot cup of tea at a roadside small tea shop. If you are interested, you may also visit a tea factory on the way to Ella.

Day 6 – Kandy / Ella

Ella is a gorgeous small village in the hill country. During your stay in Galle, you may visit the famous Dutch Fort, a turtle hatchery, do some shopping, or visit the nearby Unawatuna beach.
Day 8 & 9 – Ella / Galle

Yes, it is possible to plan a shorter Sri Lanka and Maldives honeymoon tour changing the itinerary. Please let us know your tour duration and the month that you are planning to have your honeymoon tour, so we can suggest a suitable itinerary accordingly.
4. Are there leopards in Minneriya national park?
There are few leopards in Minneriya national park, but they are very rarely seen in Minneriya. If you would like to see leopards, we can amend the itinerary to include Yala national park. It is the best national park for observing leopards in Sri Lanka.
