Day 1 & 2 – Airport / Negombo
Your guide will welcome you at the airport. He will take you to your first destination, Negombo. You may choose to simply relax at your beach side hotel and recover from the long flight.
If you like, you may visit the dynamic Negombo fish market or enjoy a bird watching safari during your stay in Negombo.
Travel time from airport to Negombo - 30 minutes
Day 1 & 2 – Airport / Negombo
Your guide will welcome you at the airport. He will take you to your first destination, Negombo. You may choose to simply relax at your beach side hotel and recover from the long flight.
If you like, you may visit the dynamic Negombo fish market or enjoy a bird watching safari during your stay in Negombo.

Day 3 – Negombo / Pinnawala / Dambulla
After breakfast your driver will take you to Dambulla. On the way to Dambulla, you have an opportunity to make a stop to visit a small pottery factory run by a local family. You will be able to learn about the traditional Sri Lankan pottery industry at this small facility.
Once in Dambulla, you may visit the UNESCO listed world heritage site, the Dambulla Cave Temple. It was built by the King Valagamba to show his gratitude to the monks who helped him during the South Indian invasion.
Travel time from Negombo to Dambulla - 4 hours
Day 3 – Negombo / Pinnawala / Dambulla
After breakfast your driver will take you to Dambulla. On the way to Dambulla, you have an opportunity to make a stop to visit a small pottery factory run by a local family. You will be able to learn about the traditional Sri Lankan pottery industry at this small facility.

Day 4 – Dambulla / Minneriya / Dambulla
Spend the morning relaxing by the hotel pool. Your lunch will be prepared at a house of a villager. You will have the unique experience of taking a bullock cart ride and a catamaran ride to reach this remote location. Wear comfortable and durable clothing.
Once the heat of the day is passed, your driver will take you to Minneriya national park for a three hours jeep safari. It is one of the best places in the entire world to watch wild elephants. In addition to elephants, you will be able to spot deer, water buffalos, mongooses, jackals and peacocks during your jeep safari.
Travel time from Dumbulla to Minneriya - 1 hour
Day 4 – Dambulla / Minneriya / Dambulla

During your tour of this ancient city, you will see the Sacred Bo Tree (Sri Maha Bodhiya), Ruwanweliseya, the Samadhi statue, the Brazen Palace and many other historical and sacred monuments.
On the fifth day of your tour there is also an opportunity to visit Mihintale. It is the place where King Devanampiya Tissa became a devotee of Lord Buddha. This event is considered to have been the beginning of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.
Travel time from Dambulla to Anuradhapura - 1.5 hours
Day 5 – Dambulla / Anuradhapura / Dambulla
On the fifth day, you may visit the first kingdom of Sri Lankans, Anuradhapura. It is also a UNESCO listed world heritage site. During your tour of this ancient city, you will see the Sacred Bo Tree (Sri Maha Bodhiya), Ruwanweliseya, the Samadhi statue, the Brazen Palace and many other historical and sacred monuments.
On the fifth day of your tour there is also an opportunity to visit Mihintale. It is the place where King Devanampiya Tissa became a devotee of Lord Buddha. This event is considered to have been the beginning of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.

Day 6 – Dambulla/ Matale/ Kandy
When you are ready, your driver will take you to Kandy, which is another UNESCO listed world heritage site. If you are interested in batik and wood carvings, in Matale area you will be able to find small shops where you can observe how they make them.
After arriving in Kandy, you may rest in your cozy hotel. Around 6.00 pm your driver will take you to the Temple of the Tooth, to see Thevava. The Temple of the Tooth is the place where the tooth relic of Lord Buddha is kept. Thevava is a mesmerizing ritual that take place three times a day to honour the tooth relic.
Travel time from Dambulla to Kandy - 2 hours
Day 6 – Dambulla/ Matale/ Kandy
When you are ready, your driver will take you to Kandy, which is another UNESCO listed world heritage site. If you are interested in batik and wood carvings, in Matale area you will be able to find small shops where you can observe how they make them.

Day 7 – Around Kandy

After the city tour comes time to refresh your soul in the Peradeniya botanical garden, the biggest botanical garden in Sri Lanka. Peradeniya is known for its comprehensive Orchid collection and for the giant Java fig tree. Not only that, the garden boasts 4000 different species of beautiful and exotic plants.
In the evening, you will be entertained by the traditional Sri Lankan dancers. The event take place for about an hour. The dancing event ends with an amazing fire show.
Day 7 – Around Kandy
In the morning, your guide will take you out for a city tour of Kandy. You can explore the local market and the busy city life.

The afternoon of Day 8 remains unscheduled. You may relax, take a walk in the small town among tea plantation workers, or stroll through tea plantations enjoying the sights and sounds.
Travel time from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya - 2 hours
Day 8 – Kandy/ Nuwara Eliya
Your next destination is Nuwara Eliya, where world famous Ceylon tea is produced. Stop on your way to Nuwara Eliya to enjoy the beauty of the Ramboda waterfall. If you wish you may also stop by a tea factory to observe the tea production process.

Day 9 – Nuwara Eliya / Yala
Around 10.00 am, your driver will take you to Yala. On your way to Yala you may stop by the Seeta Amman Temple. Once you arrive in Yala, relax in your luxury camping accommodation. Your stay in the campsite in Yala will be an experience in itself.
Travel time from Nuwara Eliya to Yala – 4 hours
Day 9 – Nuwara Eliya / Yala
Around 10.00 am, your driver will take you to Yala. On your way to Yala you may stop by the Seeta Amman Temple. Once you arrive in Yala, relax in your luxury camping accommodation. Your stay in the campsite in Yala will be an experience in itself.

Day 10 – Around Yala
On day 10, we have planned a jeep safari in Yala national park for you. The ideal time for a jeep safari in Yala is from 6.00 am to 9.00 am or from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
Your driver will take you to the Yala national park in either the early morning or afternoon to observe the elephants, deer, buffalos, mongooses, jackals, water monitor lizards and crocodiles that inhabit the Yala national park. If you are lucky enough you will also be able to spot sloth bears and leopards.
Day 10 – Around Yala
On day 10, we have planned a jeep safari in Yala national park for you. The ideal time for a jeep safari in Yala is from 6.00 am to 9.00 am or from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
Your driver will take you to the Yala national park in either the early morning or afternoon to observe the elephants, deer, buffalos, mongooses, jackals, water monitor lizards and crocodiles that inhabit the Yala national park. If you are lucky enough you will also be able to spot sloth bears and leopards.
Day 11, 12, 13 & 14 – Yala/ Tangalle
Once you are ready, your driver will take you to Tangalle for the ocean side stay of your tour. The secluded Tangalle beach is one of the nicest beaches in Sri Lanka for relaxation. You may simply spend your time relaxing by the sea and enjoying fresh seafood.
Note - The sea around Tangalle is not very safe for swimming. If you wish to swim during your beach stay, please let us know. We will arrange your accommodation in a beach area that has safe swimming during the month that you travel.
Travel time from Yala to Tangalle - about 2.5 hours
Day 11, 12, 13 & 14 – Yala/ Tangalle
Once you are ready, your driver will take you to Tangalle for the ocean side stay of your tour. The secluded Tangalle beach is one of the nicest beaches in Sri Lanka for relaxation. You may simply spend your time relaxing by the sea and enjoying fresh seafood.
Note - The sea around Tangalle is not very safe for swimming. If you wish to swim during your beach stay, please let us know. We will arrange your accommodation in a beach area that has safe swimming during the month that you travel.
Travel time from Yala to Tangalle - about 2.5 hours
Day 15 – Tangalle / Airport
It is the last day of your tour. As all good things must come to an end, your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Tangalle to take you to the airport.
He will assist you at the airport and give his farewells to you. If you enjoyed his service, offer him a small tip. He will be so grateful for your generosity.

End of the tour
Day 15 – Tangalle / Airport
It is the last day of your tour. As all good things must come to an end, your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Tangalle to take you to the airport.
