Day 1 & 2 – Airport / Negombo
The cheerful sunlight will welcome you with a warm hug as you step out of the airplane. You will be met by your guide at the airport arrival section. He will assist you with your luggage and take you to your beachfront hotel in Negombo.
The first two days of the tour remains unscheduled allowing you to relax with your better half. Enjoy some fresh seafood and the beautiful Indian Ocean. It will feel like magic.
Travel time from airport to Negombo – about 30 minutes
Day 1 & 2 – Airport / Negombo
The cheerful sunlight will welcome you with a warm hug as you step out of the airplane. You will be met by your guide at the airport arrival section. He will assist you with your luggage and take you to your beachfront hotel in Negombo.
The first two days of the tour remains unscheduled allowing you to relax with your better half. Enjoy some fresh seafood and the beautiful Indian Ocean. It will feel like magic.
Travel time from airport to Negombo – about 30 minutes
Day 3 – Negombo / Dambulla
Wake up to the waves crashing on the golden sandy shore and enjoy breakfast in bed. Once you are ready your driver will take you to your next destination, Sigiriya, where you will be lodged in the vicinity of Kandalama Lake.
In the late afternoon, you may visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, which is a UNESCO listed world heritage site. Alternatively, you may simply rest at your hotel enjoying the beautiful view of the Kandalama lake.
Travel time from Negombo to Dambulla – about 4 hours
Day 3 – Negombo / Dambulla
Wake up to the waves crashing on the golden sandy shore and enjoy breakfast in bed. Once you are ready your driver will take you to your next destination, Sigiriya, where you will be lodged in the vicinity of Kandalama Lake.
In the late afternoon, you may visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, which is a UNESCO listed world heritage site. Alternatively, you may simply rest at your hotel enjoying the beautiful view of the Kandalama lake.
Travel time from Negombo to Dambulla – about 4 hours
Day 4 – Dambulla / Minneriya / Dambulla
On day 4, you may experience homemade Sri Lankan food at a house of a villager. You may take a walk to see the village while the food is being prepared or help your hosts with the food preparation.
When the heat of the day is passed, your driver will take you to Minneriya national park for a jeep safari. The national park is the home to many toque macaques, sambar deer, buffalos and crocodiles, but the highlight of the jeep safari would be freely roaming elephants. They are literally everywhere.
Travel time from Sigiriya to Minneriya – about 45 minutes
Day 4 – Dambulla / Minneriya / Dambulla
On day 4, you may experience homemade Sri Lankan food at a house of a villager. You may take a walk to see the village while the food is being prepared or help your hosts with the food preparation.

Day 5, 6, 7 & 8 – Sigiriya / Nilaveli
When you are ready, your driver will take you to Nilaveli which is a small piece of heaven for beach lovers. The day is unscheduled and you may decide to lounge around at your beachfront hotel. The romantic setting and the joy of welcoming a new baby will make you fall in love all over again.
Nilaveli is not just for relaxation. You may enjoy some sea swimming, take a boat ride to watch dolphins and visit the Pigeon Island for snorkeling. On the last night in Nivali you will be treated to a complimentary candlelight dinner.
Travel time from Dambulla to Nilaveli – about 3 hours
Day 5, 6, 7 & 8 – Sigiriya / Nilaveli
When you are ready, your driver will take you to Nilaveli which is a small piece of heaven for beach lovers. The day is unscheduled and you may decide to lounge around at your beachfront hotel. The romantic setting and the joy of welcoming a new baby will make you fall in love all over again.

On the 9th day of the tour, your driver will take you to the last kingdom of Sri Lanka, Kandy. On the way to Kandy, you may stop by the brightly coloured Matale Hindu Temple for a small break.
There are plenty of things to occupy you in Kandy, but your stay in Kandy remains unscheduled allowing you to discover it at your own pace. You may visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth, enjoy a walk in the lovely Peradeniya Botanical Garden, do some shopping, or attend to a traditional Sri Lankan dance performance.
Travel time from Nilaveli to Kandy – about 4 hours
Day 9 & 10 – Trincomalee / Kandy
On the 9th day of the tour, your driver will take you to the last kingdom of Sri Lanka, Kandy. On the way to Kandy, you may stop by the brightly coloured Matale Hindu Temple for a small break.
There are plenty of things to occupy you in Kandy, but your stay in Kandy remains unscheduled allowing you to discover it at your own pace. Day 11 – Kandy / Colombo
You may spend the morning leisurely in your lovely hotel in Kandy. When you are ready, your driver will take you to Colombo, where you will be spending the last night of your babymoon in Sri Lanka.
You may stop by a tea factory on the way to Colombo to observe the production process of our famous Ceylon Tea. Once you arrived in Colombo, you may simply relax in your hotel or discover Colombo, the bustling capital city. Independence square, old parliament building, Gangarama Temple, Gale Face Green are a few of the must-sees in Colombo.
Travel time from Kandy to Colombo – about 3.5 hours
Day 11 – Kandy / Colombo
You may spend the morning leisurely in your lovely hotel in Kandy. When you are ready, your driver will take you to Colombo, where you will be spending the last night of your babymoon in Sri Lanka.
You may stop by a tea factory on the way to Colombo to observe the production process of our famous Ceylon Tea. Once you arrived in Colombo, you may simply relax in your hotel or discover Colombo, the bustling capital city. Day 12 – Colombo / Airport
It is time to give farewells to Sri Lanka. Time permitting, you may spend the morning leisurely in your hotel or exploring Colombo. Your driver will take you to the airport on time to catch your return flight. After assisting you with your luggage, he will share his goodbyes and drive back to Colombo. Please offer him a small tip if you enjoyed his service. He will be very thankful for your generosity.

Day 12 – Colombo / Airport
It is time to give farewells to Sri Lanka. Time permitting, you may spend the morning leisurely in your hotel or exploring Colombo. Yes, it is possible to plan a babymoon tour focusing the hill country and the southern parts of Sri Lanka. The choice of locations should be made based on the weather patterns of the month that you travel. For instance, the above itinerary is most suitable for the months, June, July, August and September. 3. Is Minneriya national park jeep safari suitable for someone that is in the late months of pregnancy?
Minneriya national park has very bumpy roads, therefore, we would not recommend it for someone in the late months of pregnancy.
Udawalawe and Yala national parks have more even roads, but they can be still uncomfortable for a mother who is 6 to 9 months pregnant.
4. Is it possible to plan my babymoon tour combining Maldives?
Of course, it is possible to change the itinerary and arrange a Sri Lanka and Maldives combined babymoon holiday.
